“Power Play” plays a tastefully balanced repertoire of classic, modern rock tunes that involve the audience with an inspired tightness and energy.
Each member of Power Play is a life time professional musician that has toured, recorded and collectively played 1000’s of shows at one time or another.
“Power Play” was formed in Montreal in 2008 with the intention of taking the Classic Rock experience to a new level, with its wide variety of music and high-energy performances, and solid vocal harmonies.

CASSIUS LOBO
Bass/Vocals
Cassius Lobo is a self taught musician. With a wide range of styles, including R&B, rock, blues, and pop, his stylistic diversity and vocal capability, coupled with his strong musical instincts and soulful approach enable him to seamlessly fit into any musical situation. From the age of 12, Cassius has played Corporate, Private events and Festival Gigs, and has been fortunate enough to perform and work with various artists such as Colin Hay, Jerry Mercer, and local talent in and around Montreal. "For as long as I can remember, I could always easily pick up melodies and chords by ear, so every time I would listen to a record it was almost like getting a private lesson from the performer." Some of Cassius Influences are Jaco, Geddy Lee, Paul McCartney, and his Family. Peace & Love.

GAETANO
Vocal/Piano
Gaetano has been hammering the keys since the age of 9. He learned how to read music with classics from Mozart, Bach and Beethoven. At 14 taught himself the electric guitar and started a band. Eventually he went back to keys again and played only rock. He has written over 60 original songs and lyrics. Recorded his first demo at the age of 17, and has the ability to play all instruments including bass drums guitar etc when recording. Also sings and does harmonies. Played with numerous popular bands in the 70s and 80s. Tano has a piano style with a dash of Elton john and Billy Joel. His main influences are Elton Styx, Supertramp, Foreigner, the Beatles, Deep Purple, Bruce Springsteen and so on. His musical talents always succeed the challenge.

JOHNNY VEGAS
Guitarist
John has been kicking around the local Montreal music scene since the mid 1980's. His professional start came with the signing of Favorite Nation to BMG Records.
In 1989, he joined Funktion and played with leader Shirley Murray, a collaboration that lasted many years. In 2001, John left Funktion to form Liquid Groove, which had a very successful run for 7 years.
Currently John is working with Artist Derek Falls, One of Montreal’s fastest rising stars on the album All is Forgiven...Performing and co-writing, this collaboration will prove to be an exceptional partnership. John can play many styles and has worked with some of Montreal's top, Rock, RnB , Hip Hop & Blues artists, from being Band Leader for Derek Falls & Carl Henry to Performing with Corneille, Edward & April Ellington.Maxamillion,Aldo Nova, Michelle Sweeny & Freddy James. However his main influence stems from his love of Rock & the blues. His main influences are BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Paige and Keith Richards. John is a consummate professional, his attention to detail and performance are as important to him as his style.

MARCEL
Drummer
Singing practically since he was born, Marcel became a real crowd pleaser with his well known Montreal band No Strings Attached. Between 1995 and 2007 he became one of the West Island most sought-after drummers to sub with any act. While living in Toronto for 2 years, Marcel studied music and has played with many bands over his 20 year career. Marcel's main influences have been from California rock bands like The Eagles and The Doobie Brothers as well as R & B and Disco bands from the 60's and 70's.
